Susan Williams Beckhorn
Susan Williams Beckhorn is an author/illustrator who writes for kids about 9-12 years old. She has three books published so far and loves to visit schools to talk about her books and writing. Susan lives with her family and many pets in the wilds of western New York on a dirt road with lots of wild critters for neighbors. She loves to write about animals, the natural world, and that strange, magical time when kids stand on the brink of growing.

In her separate Poetry at Play Workshop, Hayles gets kids (Grades 3-8) playing with words and sharing their poems in this inventive, interactive program.

Mary Beth Miller
Mary Beth Miller is a young adult author who loves to work with teens and children. She has lived in North Central Pennsylvania for thirteen years with her husband, four kids, five dogs, and five cats. Her novel, Aimee (Dutton, 2002), was selected as an ALA Best Book for Young Adults, an IRA Notable Book, a New York Public Library's Best Book for the Teenaged, and a Pennsylvania School Librarians Association Young Adults Top 40 Nominee. It was also nominated for the National Book Award. She has several more novels in process.
