About the Author

Janet Lee, DACM, RYT, is a doctor of Chinese medicine and a health journalist based in Kansas City, Missouri. She specializes in women’s health and fertility as well as sports medicine. A publishing industry veteran, Janet worked as an editor at Shape, Self and Fitness and has written hundreds of health, fitness and nutrition articles for various publications, including Consumer Reports, Real Simple and Cosmopolitan, among others. In 2014, she co-wrote The Supplement Handbook (Rodale) with Mark Moyad, MD. She has appeared as a health expert on local and national news and lifestyle programs, including CNN, Good Morning America, The Today Show, CBS This Morning and Entertainment Tonight. Janet also teaches yoga and is currently pursuing a 500-hour training certification.
